The High Commissioner H.E. Mr. Babar Amin Participates as the keynote speaker in a Roundtable organized by Australian Strategic Policy Institute
On Thursday, 5th November 2020, on the invitation of Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), High Commissioner Babar Amin today participated as the keynote speaker in a roundtable discussion. The issues of foreign and security policy surrounding South Asia including Afghanistan, Pakistan-India relations, situation in Jammu and Kashmir as well as developments in South-East Asia and Oceania, were discussed.
ASPI is a renowned think tank based in Canberra specializing in
research and reporting on issues of foreign and security policy. Mr. Michael
Shoebridge, Director, Defence, Strategy & National Security, ASPI,
moderated the meeting, whereas, the ASPIís scholars, analysts, research fellows
and publications staff participated in the interactive session.
The High Commissioner Mr. Babar Amin delivered a comprehensive yet succinct, keynote statement, encompassing broad-based issues of mutual interest, elaborating Pakistanís point of view on several emerging political developments and on existing global challenges.
H.E. Babar Amin highlighted various aspects of Pakistanís foreign policy, explained the position, and underlined its enlarging convergence with Australia.
The statement was followed by an open discussion by the participants and a question and answers session with candid exchange of ideas.
