Muhammadi Welfare Association (MWA) is
not for profit organisation serving its community since 1989. The association
is working hard to promote unity and harmony among the community, provide
assistance to people in need, establish educational institution and promote
socio-economic cooperation in the community.
MWA conducted a survey from
4-6 October to know about the vaccination status of its members. The purpose of
the survey was to get understanding about the vaccination rates of its members
and make strategies to support the members to maintain a safe environment.
The results of the survey were exciting. The survey indicated 93% were fully
vaccinated (had received 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine), 4 % partially
vaccinated (received first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine) and 1% had booked their
first dose.
Since the start of COVID-19 pandemic the executive committee of MWA has been working hard to develop awareness for the infection risk among its members so that they are well informed and are safe guarded from the illness. The Imam of MWA, Syed Shoaib Naqvi, urged people in his speeches to follow the health regulations, and get vaccinated. It is pleasing to know that the members of MWA are abiding by the rules and regulations of health authorities and are following public health measures. MWA stands proud to have achieved such a high vaccination rate among its members. MWA wishes to work closer with other communities to get the same results.
