President PABC Iftikhar Rana hosted a dinner in Sydney for Close Friends

On Monday,15th March 2021, Mr Iftikhar Rana, President Pakistan Australia Business Council (PABC) hosted a dinner in the honour of friends. The dinner party was held at the Himalaya Function Centre, Granville Sydney and attended by more than 200 people.The Honourable Shaoquett Moselmane MP was Chief Guest.

The event was starts with the reciting of Holey Quran by Maulana Nazeerul Hasan Thanvi. The President Pakistan Association of Australia Mr. Farhat Jaffri appreciates Pak Australian Community and request for maintain unity on all levels.

The Honourable Shaoquett Moselmane, MLC New South Wales Parliament briefly thanks Iftikhar Rana for hosting community dinner and congratulates Pak Australia Community for different achievements. He said that I always feeling satisfaction on attending Pakistani Community events and may I will visit third time Pakistan in near future.

The host Mr Iftikhar Rana, President Pakistan Australia Business Council (PABC) thanks guests for attending function on short notice. He said that I don’t have any agenda and I always invites friends for just meet & Greet purpose.

Mr. Iftikhar Rana said that it is a real pleasure for me to be with friends in what hope would turn out to be a much better year than the last year which plagued the world with a pandemic infecting over 120 million globally and causing around 2.7 million till date. While Australia has been lucky and managed COVID-19 very well, there were several disruptions last year with lockdown and economic disruptions.

The only positive aspect of such pandemic is that it allows to pause, reflect and appreciate life from another perspective. It made us truly appreciate religion, family, friends , community and happiness . We realise we need each other and we are for each other and we all need to support each other in the community.

Mr. Iftikhar Rana said that I am very thankful to all of you to join me in this re-affirmation of friendship, Tonight moments with all of you has no purpose other than to celebrate our friendship and all of us enjoying the company of friends . We must thank both our root country and country of our choice, i.e. Pakistan and Australia and our great Pakistan-Australian community because of which we all share happy life and a strong community feelings.

The host Mr. Iftikhar Rana said that I sadly could not invite all friends and community leaders due to capacity limitation for COVID-19. I apologised to them for not requesting their attendance for tonight.I will however request them to join me and friends in a similar gathering and will celebrate our friendship and community with them in an Iftar in Ramadan.

In his Welcome speech, Mr. Iftikhar Rana said that we are a small community with many professions, many talents and many contributions. We have collectively, all of us made a good name for our community and it is something we must cherish and continue to ensure it.

Iftikhar Rana said that the Honourable Shaoquett Moselmane has usual taken the pleasure to be with us. He is true friend personally and is a true friend of Pakistan Community. Last year was also a bad year for him for he was treated unfairly and unjustly but he stood stead-fast, faced the predatory and habitual liars and he won his quest for justice with honour. I mention this because he is a good example of how always to stand on the right, how to have faith and how evil can be defeated. He is an inspiration for many in Australia including to our community. I wish we too can develop the fortitude of this great man. A big hand for the Hon. Shaoquett MP.

Once again I thank all of you for being here as friends Pl enjoy the friendship among all of us present here today.
