afternoon,
My name is Michael Gallus. I am the Pakistan Womens National
AFL coach and Assistant AFL Pakistan National Men's coach and I am about to be
the first ever AFL coach to visit Pakistan to develop the game and run clinics.
Please find the up coming itinerary attached for this world first AFL
coaching/education and humanitarian trip to Pakistan by an Australian which
will start tonight when I fly out.
My focus on this trip is to develop
AFL across Pakistan and further champion the rights and equality for women in
sport in Pakistan and further strengthen Australian and Pakistan relations all
via the power of sport.
I am the Pakistan National Womens AFL coach and
about to become the first ever Australian Football coach to travel to Pakistan
to run AFL football training and coaching sessions with Pakistan Males and
females across 5 cities.
I will be engaging in humanitarian volunteering
with the Smile Again foundation with women who have suffered acid burns from
domestic violence and with UN Pakistan Disability Ambassador Muniba
Mazari.
I will be also running University lectures on my role as National
Womens Pakistan AFL coach and my role in sports diplomacy through footys4all
and strengthening ties between Australia and Pakistan.
I also have a
confirmed meeting with deputy Australian Commissioner to Pakistan Brek Bately
and have a request in to meet with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
I will be
distributing Footys4all footballs, soccer balls and volleyballs to Pakistani
kids as well as Australian and Pakistani Flags, Footys4all books to improve
english and Hygiene products to women from Melbourne Pinchapoo Charity.
