A Grand Birthday Party of Dr Shaukat Javed held at the Himalaya Function Centre Granville Sydney

On Saturday, 3rd August 2019, Dr. Akram Hassan & Nadeem Sheikh hosted a musical gala and dinner to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Javed Shaukat with friends and family. The Birthday event / dinner was held at the Himalaya Function Centre, Granville Sydney.

Many close friends of Dr. Shaukat Javed paid tribute to him and recalled his sincere services to the Community and wished him & his family many more happy years. A large number of Dr Javed friends, prominent Australian doctors including of Pakistan and Sub-Continent origins, artists and their families participated to celebrate with Shaukat Javed and Ghazala Javed.

Dr. Shaukat Javed spoke of his experience in Australia and surprised everyone with his recently penned poetry which was a treat to listen to. His mastery over the Urdu language was mesmerizing.

The live singing added flavours to the lovely evening. Pinto's singing was at the top and some doctors and friends of Dr. Javed also sang with the group. A Tabla solo by master Yamma , who is on short vacation to Sydney who played with and trained under the great Ustad Zakir Hussain was enjoyed and appreciated by all. Bhangra was also presented friends and was a spectacle to watch.

Thanking the hosts on behalf of the guests, Azam Mohammed, Former Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney thanked Nadeem Sheikh and Dr. Akram Hassan for hosting this event and inviting friends and family. He said Nadeem Sheikh always organised events for his friends and specially thanked Dr Akram to be co-host and come to enjoy his friend's birthday despite his frail health. The whole gathering appreciated such deep friendship and prayed for the best all who graced the occasion.
