Pakistan Consulate Sydney arranged Trade and Investment Forum in Melbourne
A Trade and Investment Forum was organised
by the Consulate General of Pakistan on 21 November 2018 at Himalaya Restaurant
in Melbourne. This was organised to promote the Trade opportunities in
Australia and Pakistan and the Exhibitors were also present during the event to
highlight the investment opportunities in the textile, sportswear, leather and
the footwear sectors.
The evening started with Mr. Abdul Majid Yousfani,
Consul General playing the video of Emerging Pakistan followed by a
presentation that emphasised of the opportunities of bilateral trade and inward
investment for Pakistan.
The guest speakers of the event included
Mr. John Peoples, Director of Worldwide Procurement Solutions, Mr. Jeremy Higgs
of Director of Eco Energy, Mr. Dean Hasnat, Director of Ostindo International,
and Mr. Ian Mathews, Sales and Marketing Director at Gasco. They all shared
their success stories and spoke of their experiences of working in
Pakistan.
The aim of this event was to attract investments and to inform
Australians of the present and future investment opportunities in which both
the countries could benefit from each other.
