Hon. Julia Finn MP attended Forum of the Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW Inc (MDAA) at Granville Sydney

The Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW Inc (MDAA) is a peak body in New South Wales providing advocacy for people from culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and non-English speaking (NES) backgrounds with disability, their families and carers.

Since 1995, MDAA has been advocating for the rights of people with disability from CALD/NES backgrounds, their families and carers for better outcomes and improved access to services, opportunities and participation in the disability sector”.

On Wednesday 01 August 2018, MDAA arranged a forum which was attended by people of different background and culture. Hon. Julia Finn MP, Member for Granville was the Chief Guest.

Susan Laguna Executive Director of the Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW Inc (MDAA) welcomes Hon. Julia Finn and said people are expecting from Federal & State Government efficient service with required amount of funding.

People expressed their views about NDIS and other Government departments and explained their demands & difficulties.

Honourable Julia Finn noted all concerns of forum and promised to take up them with higher authorities. The Member of Parliament Hon Julia Finn said that disadvantage people of our society should be treat nicely and Government should provide them all comfort with respect. She said I believe that MDAA is serving in Great way even with limited resources and I hope Government

 will fully cooperates with MDAA for its services to the needily people with different type of health issues. At the end, Hon. Julia Finn MP distributed gifts and certificates of appreciation during the simple but impressed prize presentation ceremony.

Forum was held at the head office of MDAA at Granville Sydney from 11.30 - 1pm. Later Traditional Middle Eastern BBQ with Adana and Lamb tikka to celebrate the continuation of advocacy funding was held & all enjoyed BBQ lunch prepared by voluntaries of MDAA.
