Benedict Barkat Foundation Fundraising Dinner was held at Newtown Sydney

The 2017 Annual Benedict Barkat Foundation Fundraising Dinner was held on Saturday, 18th November in the Crypt of St. Joseph’s Parish Newtown.
Well In excess of 100 supporters from the Pakistani Community, St. Joseph’s Parish, Newtown, St. Mary Mackillop’s Parish, Rockdale and the general public attended the evening.

Mr. Waqar Younis as the master of ceremonies. The keynote speaker was the Consul General of Pakistan Mr Abdul Majid Yousfani.

Mr Yousfani gave his unqualified support and thanks to Mr. Mushtaq Barkat and Fr. Peter Maher (Founders of the Benedict Barkat Foundation) for their tireless work in supporting the students, families and teachers of St. Mary’s School Hafizabad Punjab Pakistan.

Mr Abdul Majid Yousfani kind words were also followed by words of thanks from Fr. Brendon Quirk (on behalf of Fr. Yacub Barkat - who is currently visiting St. Mary’s School Hafizabad) to all those who were in attendance and who generously donated to the Barkat Foundation.

The attendees were treated to a delicious Pakistani dinner provided by the Tandoori Hut Restaurant, Enmore Sydney.It was a lively evening with great conversation with a range of raffle prizes drawn during the Dinner and a wonderful opportunity to meet up with old friends and make new ones!!
We hope to see more people at the 2018 Annual Benedict Barkat Foundation Dinner.
