Good evening and Salaam Alekum ,
I would like to first
acknowledge the Traditional Owners of these waters and land on which we are
meeting, and I pay my respects to their Elders past and present. I also want to
pay my respects to the elders of our community present here today.
I feel
that everyone here today is very special and blessed as we serve our
communities in the most noble profession of the world. We are even more
fortunate to live in Australia which is a fair, prosperous and wonderful
country that allows us to live amazing lives full of opportunities.
We
serve Australian communities with professional excellence; however, we can also
help and assist Pakistan to transform Pakistan into a modern, enlightened, and
developed country with a good health and education system for all.
In
Australia, Pakistani medical associations have been active for many decades in
different states and has served the communities both in Australia and in
Pakistan. There has been strong aspiration to have a national Australian
organization of Pakistani medical professionals.
