AFIC hosted Iftar Dinner 2022 at the Stamford Plaza

The
Annual Congress of Muslims Australia (AFIC), the National umbrella body of the
Australian Muslim community was held in Sydney during the weekend of Easter 22
& 23rd April 2022. Delegates attending from all States of Australia
including Christmas Island, ACT and Northern Territory met over two days to
review AFIC’s activities, give directives and policies for the future.
This
Iftar event was attended by delegates from member councils and societies from
all over Australia and leading religious and community Leaders, scholars,
politicians & diplomats.
As per tradition, a Congress Dinner was held on Saturday, 23 April 2022. The inter-state delegates and Muslim leaders were joined by many other members of the Muslim Community. There was many friends from the Multicultural and religious communities including President Liberal Party of Australia Hon. Philip Ruddock AO. On Saturday, 23rd April 2022, MUSLIMS Australia's dinner was held at the Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport.
This Iftar event was attended by delegates from member councils and societies from all over Australia and leading religious and community Leaders, scholars, politicians and diplomats.

Dr Rateb Jneid is a qualified Lawyer in Western Australia. Beyond Law, his expertise encompasses various areas of business, education, building and construction, land subdivision and import and export. Most notably, he serves on various community organisations, school and institutional boards.
President AFIC Dr Rateb Jneid
Dr Rateb Jneid holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Murdoch University, a Master of Law from Deakin University, Master of Delivering Islamic Education, Master of Business, and Master of Education (Leadership & Management) from the University of Notre Dame, Australia. In addition, Dr Rateb Jneid holds a Doctor of Business Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Business Law from the University of Curtin and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from College of Law.
In September 2017, Dr Rateb Jneid was appointed Associate Professor at King’s International University (School of Management, Commerce and Law). Dr Rateb Jneid has frequently addressed forums and presented at numerous interstate and international venues. Since April 2017, Dr Rateb Jneid was elected President of the Australian Federation of the Islamic Councils (AFIC), which is the peak body for Muslims in Australia. During the Iftar dinner, Dr Rateb Jneid is very humble person. He goes to each table of guests and discussed with them suggestions/ feedback about AFIC activities and future planning of Community, Educational & Welfare Services.
