the honour of world known Artist Anjum Ayaz

On Sunday, 21st January 2024, Mr Javed Nazar of Koocha-e-Saqafat organised a
lunch time exhibition to showcase the work of Pakistani artist Mr Anjum Ayaz.
Anjum Ayaz has been a regular visitor to Australia and now has a wide fan base
in Australia. In his recent visit he stayed a little longer in Sydney and
completed over 20 paintings including calligraphy and abstract art. All that
work was exhibited for the taste of local art lovers. It was a small private
gathering to farewell Anjum Ayaz as he was leaving for Pakistan after visiting
Australia. The program started with an Urdu poem recited by Dr Adnan Syed Muhammad.

Mr Anjum Ayaz then described his exhibited work and shared
some background stories that inspired his art especially his affiliation with
Master artist of Pakistan, Sadeqain. The Hon.
Shaoquett Moselmane, Uzma Gillani and Dr Sayeed Khan also talked about the
importance of art and how it brings unity amongst the community.
The Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane emphasised the need for the establishment
of a Pakistani community centre providing a platform to art and cultural
activities for the local community. Uzma Gillani appreciated the efforts of Mr
Javed Nazar in organising quality events related to Pakistani art and culture.
Dr Sayeed also shed light on the performance of Kooch-e-Saqafat
and Mr Javed Nazar over the past many years and how it has positively impacted
the Pakistani-Australian community here in Sydney. At the conclusion, Mr Javed
Nazar thanked everyone for their participation and shared some details of his
upcoming theatre play, Titliyan Kanton Par.
