Ashraf Shad is in Australia again

Ashraf Shad, the famous
writer, poet and journalist was on a 5- day visit to Australia with a
high-powered delegation from the UAE University headed by H. E. Dr. Hadef Bin
Jouan Al-Dhahiri, Vice Chancellor UAE and H. E. Dr. Maitha Al Shamsi, Assistant
Provost for Research.
The delegation visited Monash University and the Holden Innovation in Melbourne,
ANU University in Canberra and Macquarie University in Sydney and discussed
expanding cooperation in geological and traffic safety research and the
possibilities of exchanging students and faculty members between the Australian
and UAE universities.
Ashraf Shad works as the Academic Editor of the Research Affairs of the UAE
University that has research collaboration with the Monash University, Melbourne
and the Macquarie University, Sydney. H. E. Dr. Saeed Al Shamsi, the UAE
ambassador in Australia, hosted dinner in honour of H. E. the Vice Chancellor
and the members of the delegation.
Arif Sadiq, General Secretary of the Urdu Society of Australia organised a
private lunch for Ashraf shad that was attended by Dr. Shabbir Haider, the
President of the Urdu society and many other close friends of Ashraf. Ashraf
Shad is the Head of Urdu Group, SBS Radio Sydney and currently on long leave. He
presently lives in Al Ain, a UAE city 137km from Dubai.
