Institute Sydney hosted Dinner for Pakistani Delegation and Community
On
Saturday, 21 September 2024, Prof Asif Iqbal, Dean Southern Cross Institute
Sydney hosted a delegation of academics & agriculture academics and
entrepreneurs from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Ethiopia for a dinner at Himalaya Function
Centre Granville Sydney Australia. The Pakistani delegation was led by Prof
Zulfiqar Ali, Deputy Director of OIC. The delegates from Pakistan included,
Rana Safdar Ali, Mr Asif Siddique, Prof Irfan Ahmad Baig, Dr Rizwana Maqbool
and Dr Muhammad Ali Sher.
Among
other community leaders and dignitaries, the dinner was attended by the Council
General of Pakistan in Sydney, Mr Qamar Zaman Malik, Mrs Muniba Zaman, Deputy CG
SAIMA Jamil & Dr Jamil, legendry artist Uzma Gillani, Mr Saad Gillani, Dr
Anju Janardhanan, Dr Pranil Prasad, Ms Heena Panchal, Mr Aslam Khalon, Dr
Yasmin Khan and Mr Amer Malik, Syed Zafar Hussain, Mr Iqbal Malik, Hafiz Shahid
Iqbal Chaudhry and Mrs Shahid Iqbal, Mr Zia Qureshi and Mr & Mrs Javed

This
delegation was in Australia to undertake a fortnight long research activity
hosted by the University of Sydney. Prof Richard Trethowan led the hosts team
that included Dr Rebecca Shephard and Ms Blanca Bardaji.
