The NSW Premier's Multicultural Communications Awards (PMCAs) recognise excellence in the multicultural media and marketing industry. NSW is one of the most successful Multicultural states in the world and it is important to celebrate the benefits of our diversity. The PMCAs acknowledge the important role marketing and media professionals play in communicating this success.
On Tuesday, 3rd Dec 2019, NSW Premier's Multicultural Communication Awards event held at the Garden Ballroom of the Oatlands House Sydney. The Acting Minister for Multiculturalism Hon. Dr Geoff Lee MP was special guest. Hon. Julia Finn MP Granville, Hon. Mark Coure MP Oatley and more then 300 dignitaries attended the event.
The award Judges was Majida Abboud Saab, Tim Burrowes, Ky Chow, Steven D’Alessandro, Dr Helen Vatsikopoulos, Peter Lynch, David Terrazas, Tuong Quang Luu AO and Natalie O’ brien.

CEO of Multicultural NSW Mr Joseph La Posta said that Multicultural NSW promotes community harmony and social cohesion in one of the most culturally diverse states in the world. We come from more than 307 ancestries, speak 215 languages and dialect, and follow 148 different religious beliefs but we all are united as a one family, one Community of Great Australia.

Reports on dowry abuse, the Christchurch terror attack and an innovative multilingual radio podcast for children were among the winning entries at tonight’s Premier’s Multicultural Communications Awards.
Acting Minister for Multiculturalism Hon. Dr Geoff Lee said the NSW Government was proud to celebrate the exceptional journalism of multicultural media and marketers.
“Our best and brightest professionals raised the standard even
higher this year with fearless journalism and innovative marketing,” Minister
Geoff Lee said.
“Tonight’s winners set the benchmark for aspiring
multicultural media and marketing professionals, not just in our State but
across the country.”
The winners dedicated countless hours to exposing abuse, celebrating cultures and keeping the community informed. Acting Minister for Multiculturalism Hon. Dr Geoff Lee said;
“Tonight’s winners displayed courage and tenacity in their
reporting, tackling some very difficult topics. I’d like to congratulate
everyone who entered because all of our multicultural media play a key role in
our society,”
