Barkat Foundation Annual Fundraising Dinner was held at Newtown Sydney
The Annual Barkat Foundation Fundraiser to support students at St. Mary’s Catholic Boarding School in Hafizabad, Pakistan was held on Saturday, October 31st 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Newtown Sydney NSW Australia.

The Fundraiser was another outstanding success raising more than $9,000 thanks to the generous support from the Pakistani Australian Community and the Parish Priest (Fr. Peter Maher) and parishioners from St. Joseph’s Newtown. More than 100 guests heard Fr. Yacub Barkat provide an update on the latest happenings at St. Mary’s School and the surrounding community in Hafizabad.

The gathering was also then addressed by the Mr. Abdul Aziz Uqaili - Consul General of Pakistan who spoke about the benefits of Multiculturalism and tolerance in society at large. A wonderful Pakistani dinner was provided by the Tandoori Hut Restaurant Enmore Sydney.
