BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF SAYEDA FATIMAH ZAHRA IN SYDNEY
On Sunday, 7th January 2024, Shia National Network Inc arranged a celebration of the birthday of Sayeda Fatima Zahra at Granville Town Hall in Sydney. More than 300 people from the Australian Muslim Community Association communities with different ethnic backgrounds attended the celebration including delegates of Learner Place Community Centre and delegates of Iraqi Council. The Wife of His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Sadeghi, Ambassador of Iran for Australia travelled all the way from Canberra to participate in the celebration.
The religious scholars included Dr. Sheikh Hussein Javaheri from Masjid Al Rida, Sayed Ahmad Hussaini Zaki from Nabi Akram, Sayed Jafar Miski from Masjid Arrahman, Sayed Shoaib Naqvi from Muhammadi Welfare Association, Sheikh Abu Rehana from Hussanyia Al Yaseen, Maulana Shahid Hussain visiting scholar from India, one of the founders of MWA Dr. Shabbir Haider, Trustee of MWA Zain Sheriff, Javed Khan from Dargah Abulfazalil Abbas, Abbas Rana from Alamdar, a group from Masjid Al Rida, Scientologists Matt Reeve and Lara Aldegani and Nasheed reciters from Dirani family also participated.

The master of ceremonies (MC) was Ms Alina Jafar, she called Fatimah Dirani and Samah Dirani for the recitation of Holy Quran.
Bushra Abdi
Speaker Ms Bushra Abdi said that Sayeda Fatimah was a total embodiment of virtues and that it is very hard to pick solely one of her traits. Ayatollah Khomeini had said "The position of Fatima al Zahra (s.a.) is one of those positions that is either impossible or difficult for ordinary people to imagine. Her life exemplified the essence of empowerment, serving as a guiding light for the women and youth transcending timely boundaries.
The Holy Prophet had said, "Fatima is my part, whosoever upsets her, will upset me."
Youth Coordinator: RAWASY Al Zubaidi
Youth Coordinator Ms
Rawasy Al Zubaidi informed the audience that the network had organised an award
youth speech competition, two youth workshops and had assisted two programs in
NSW Parliament.
She asked the youth of all affiliated organisations to get registered for
future activities.
Speaker: Jawwad Imam
Speaker Mr Jawwad Imam had narrated that in her night prayer she was praying for her neighbours. When asked, she had replied," The neighbours come first in my prayers than my households" She had a versatile personality. She is a role model on personal level, respectful to elders, loving model for the youngsters and caring for others. On one occasion lady Fatima had donated her wedding dress to a woman who was in need.
Solicitor Cheryl Orr
Solicitor Cheryl Orr said Sayeda Fatima was the beacon of courage who had stood against injustices with unwavering determination. Her strength was not only in words but in actions. After the demise of her father, she was confronted with untold ordeals. She had passed away only a few days after her father's death. After her death her family members were butchered in Karbala but her daughter Sayeda Zainab following the footsteps of her mother confronted Yazid with courage and bravery in his court.

Sayed Zawar, President of Shia Network thanked the audience for their participation who attended although it was a hot day. A special thanks was given to the guests who had travelled all the way from Canberra. He also presented a plaque to Sabah Dirani for working hard to prepare the Nasheed team.
Sheikh Dr. Hossein Javaheri
Dr. Sheikh Hussein Javaheri, Imam of Al Rida Mosque elaborated that Sayeda Fatima Zahra was a great role model for women. A woman can be a daughter, a wife or a mother. Sayeda was the comprehensive embodiment of all virtues and she had shown that if anywhere injustice is perpetrated, women should stand resolutely against it and expose the perpetrators.
Sheikh prayed that we should follow the footprints of Sayeda Zahra. At the end he led the audience in reading dua e Farraj. Take away lunch was served at the end.
