Condolence book for Abdul Sattar Edhi at Pakistan High Commission Canberra
Pakistan's most respected, most beloved, most
trusted biggest philanthropist Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi passed away on July 8,
2016. He was undoubtedly the most respected and most trusted humanitarian and
social worker of Pakistan who single handed and with empty pockets established
the country's biggest ambulance service that provided services across the
world. You name a place with natural or man made disaster and Edhi ambulances
would be the first to get there. Besides ambulance service, Edhi centres are
also successfully running hospitals, schools, orphanages, old homes, blood
banks, medical stores, funeral services, drug rehab centres and much more. The
Edhi Foundation is solely charity based organization that does not take any
funding from any governmental or non-governmental or any foreign agency but
only from common people of Pakistan. The whole nation is mourning the loss of
its biggest and most beloved hero.
