How can Australian
Muslims celebrate Eid on one day?
All Muslims celebrate Eid ul
Azha and Eid ul Fitr, Eid after Ramadan and Eid after Hajj. Eid means happiness but in Australia, it is becoming Depressing
because Australian Muslims are not celebrating on the same day. The Australian
Pakistani Community this year 2024, are celebrating Eid ul Azha on Sunday, 16th
June, Monday, 17th June and Tuesday, 18th June.
On Saturday, 15th June 2024, a few active respected members of the
Australian Pakistani Community met at “Pak Afghan Restaurant“
in Auburn, Sydney and discussed this important agenda “Eid on one same
day”. This First consultation meeting was attended by Mr. Iftikhar Rana, Dr
Syed Hasnain, Hasan Rana, Dr Abbas Rizvi, Shamim Zaidi, Abbas Rana, Ali
Murtaza, Syed Zafar Hussain and Abbas Naqvi.
They talked on different options and agreed to meet all Muslim Scholars,
Diplomats of Muslim Countries, Muslim Senators, Muslim Members of Parliament of
State & Federal and Muslim registered organisations for assistance to bring
all Australian Muslims in unity for one item agenda. All participants agreed to
efforts for One simple, quick and better process for Eid in Australia.
