High Commissioner Abdul Malik Abdullah hosted Dinner in Honour of Agriculture Related Experts and Businessmen

H.E Abdul Malik Abdullah, High Commissioner for Pakistan, hosted a dinner in honour of a high level delegation of Pakistani experts and businessmen from the field of agriculture . The visiting delegation included Arif Nadeem, Chief Executive Officer, Pakistan Agricultural Coalition,Mr. Kazim Saeed, Consultant, Pakistan Agricultural Coalition, Mr. Nasser Jaffer,CEO, Jaffer Brothers, Mr. Afaq Tiwana, Chief Executive Officer, Farmers Associate of Pakistan, Prof Dr Muhammad Javed, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Prof Dr. Jalal Arif, Principal Officer (PRP), Department of Entomology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.

This group of interested stakeholders, the Pakistan Agricultural Coalition, has recently formed with the aim advancing agriculture in Pakistan. There are some quite important Pakistan businessmen in the group and their interest are wide, including agricultural policy research and lobbying, cotton development and establishment of vocational education for farm workers.

The Dinner was also attended by Nick Austin, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), Dr Les Baxter and Dr Ejaz Qureshi from ACIAR and Tiffany McDonald from DFAT.
