Senator Hon. Dr Mehreen Faruqi hosted a Women’s Iftar in Granville Sydney

On Wednesday, 13th March 2024, the Honourable Senator Dr Mehreen Faruqi, Deputy Leader of the Australian Greens hosted a Women’s Iftar party in Sydney which was attended by various prominent figures from different communities. The event was held at the Granville Centre Granville NSW. The host of the evening the Hon. Senator Dr Mehreen Faruqi thanked and welcomed all guests.

There was Sara Saleh who read a poem, followed by a panel with President of the NSW Council for Civil Liberties, Lydia Shelly and Palestinian Activist, Amal Naser. At the end, Dr Amna Saadi presented an impressive Palestinian song.
