On Wednesday,16th January 2013, Mr. Iftikhar Rana President Pakistan Association of Australia hosted a dinner for the President Al-Khidmat Foundation of Pakistan, Former Mayor of Karachi Mr. Niamthullah Khan and members of his delegation. The dinner was held at the Spice of Life Restaurant Harris Park Sydney. The dinner was attended by Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney Mr. Azam Mohammed, Mr. Shifaat Kaleem Consul of Pakistan Consulate Sydney, Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane, MLC NSW Parliament, Mr. Wajahat Rana Chairman Charity Australia International, Syed Zafar Hussain, Zulfiqar Minhas, Muhammad Asif, Parvez Khan, Hanif Muqaddam, Ziaur Rehman Khan, Kashif Aziz, Shoaib Qureshi, Hamid Abbasi, Muhammad Abdus Shakoor, Secretary General Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan, Dr. Mohammad Bilal Vice President Australia Pakistan Medical Association and few important dignitaries of Australian Pakistani Community. After the dinner, Al-Khidmat Foundation presented shields to the Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney Mr. Azam Mohammed, Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane MLC NSW Parliament and Mr. Iftikhar Rana President Pakistan Association of Australia.

Welcome Speech of Mr.Ashraf Chohan,General Secretary Pakistan Association of Australia
Respected guests and community members, as you may know that tonight dinner has been organized by PAA in honor of Mr. Niamatullah Khan who is visiting Australia with his delegation on the invitation of Charity Australia International. On behalf PAA, I warmly welcome the guests and hope that the Muslim community in Australia will benefit from the useful lectures being delivered by Mr. Niamatullah Khan. We are glad to have the company of Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane MLC who has always been kind enough to attend all the events PAA undertakes.
A complete and detailed introduction of Mr. Niamatullah
Khan is matter of few hours job. However, I will outline few aspects of his
personality for which I am thankful to SADA-E-WATAN SYDNEY where these points have been
extracted from. Mr. Niamatullah Khan has been an advocate by profession and had
the opportunity at his young age to work with Qaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah
before partition. He has been the Mayor of Karachi and Member of Sindh Assembly.
As a President of Al – Khidmat Welfare Society, he developed and successfully
completed several projects for welfare of people of Pakistan. PAA likes to wish
him all the best to his future projects and ambitions. I am thankful for all the
guests and community members for joining us at this occasion. Thank You.

On behalf of the Pakistani community it gives me great pleasure to welcome you all, especially our distinguished guest Mr. Naimatullah Sahib. We are grateful to him that he has graced this occasion despite his multifarious engagements and busy schedule in Australia.
I am also thankful to The Hon Shaoqette Moselmane for gracing us today despite him having just returned from a lengthy visit from Japan, China and Lebanon.
We are happy to welcome Mr.Naimatullah and his colleagues from Pakistan. He
needs no introduction and the whole Pakistani nation is proud of him.His
contribution as a mayor is well known and he played a critical role on the
development of Karachi.
More important, the whole nation is indebted for his contribution to social
welfare and charity work in Pakistan.
I would like to inform you, Sir, the Pakistan Australian Association, was
established approximately (40) years back as a non political and non profit
organization, dedicated to the welfare and wellbeing of the Pakistani community.
Our community which was hardly Five Hundred (500) in numbers Forty (40) years
back has Masha-Allah grown to almost Ten Thousand (10,000) families.
They comprise of professional Doctors, Engineers, IT Specialists, Solicitors, Businessmen and People and from various other walks of life.
I feel happy in informing your good-self that we are also involved in
collection of charity for our brothers and sisters in Pakistan in time of need.
The association and the community have always been forthcoming be it the tragedy
of earthquake, floods or displaced persons. In addition we are also coordinating
with doctors association for medical relief.
I am sure that with more coordination between us, we can achieve our mutual goal
of helping the needy in Pakistan
I would like to thank you and Hon.Shaoquette Moselmane again for your kind
presence tonight.
