Raised $270,000 for Free Health Services in Pakistan
Sydney’s Hunters Hill Sailing Club was abuzz with energy on
the evening of Saturday, 23rd November 2024, as over 280 attendees
came together for the annual Indus Health Australia fundraiser. The event
proved to be a resounding success, raised an impressive $270,000 to support
free health services in Pakistan through the Indus Hospital network.
The picturesque waterfront venue set the stage for an evening filled with
inspiration, generosity, and entertainment. Guests were treated to a delicious
dinner by Himalaya Restaurant while engaging in a program that highlighted the
remarkable impact of Indus Hospital’s services.

Dr. Sayeed Khan, Chairman of Indus Health Australia,
delivered a compelling keynote speech, emphasizing the importance of community
contributions in sustaining free and accessible healthcare for underprivileged
communities in Pakistan.

making the fundraiser a success.

celebrated Pakistani TV artist Sania Saeed shared
her moving experiences with children in the cancer ward at Indus Hospital
Karachi. Her stories resonated deeply with the audience, highlighting the human
impact of their contributions.

The event also featured a lively comedic performance by Jeremy McLellan, whose unique and hilarious humour
left the audience in fits of laughter, adding a light-hearted charm to the
evening.
The fundraiser’s success reflects the unwavering commitment of the Australian
Pakistani community and supporters to bridging healthcare gaps for those most
in need. The funds raised will directly support life-saving treatments and
health services offered free of charge by the Indus Hospital network.
