Quran Khawani for Zahid Jamil's Father was held at Himalaya Granville Sydney
Mr Zahid Jamil, the head of SAMAA, held a Dua congregation to
pay tribute to his Father Janab Jamil Ahmad who left us for heavenly abode on
10 Jan in New Delhi, India. He was buried with full respects in his home town
Saharanpur, the next day.
Well over 150 people attended the dua event
at Himalaya Function Centre, Granville Sydney and recited Quran. Maulana Nazir
ul Hassan Thanvi made an emotional Dua which brought tears to many eyes. Mr
Zahid Jamil, remembering his late father, described him as an exceptional human
being who was not only a reputed lawyer but had played active social role in
Muslim community of Saharanpur. Dr Simmi Zahid, Zahid Jamil's daughter,
described her grandfather as a highly virtuous man who had earned respect from
every body for his righteousness and humility.
Jamil Ahmad Sahib had
raised a very fine family. Mr Zahid Jamil, a financial practitioner, plays
important role in South Asian Muslim community of Sydney, his brother Dr Javed
Jamil is a renowned Islamic Scholar & poet and other brothers are also
successful professionals in India. The Editorial Board of Sada-e-Watan,
extend heart felt condolence to Mr Zahid Jamil and his family and pray for the
deceased.
