In New Zealand Function was held on "Kashmir Black Day"
To commemorate “27 October, Kashmir
Black Day”, a function was held in Wellington Saturday, November 13, 2010.
H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, the High Commissioner speaking on the occasion apprised
the participants about the various phases of the valiant Kashmiri people
struggle to achieve their fundamental right to self-determination.
Several speakers including Mr. Haider Lone, Mr. Pervaiz Karamat and Dr. Khalid
Sandhu also spoke on the occasion, demanding immediate cessation of the Kashmiri
people human rights violations by the Indian occupation forces.
Cross section of the Community members attended the event. The purpose of
gathering was to highlight the plight of Kashmiri people and massive human
rights violations in Jammu & Kashmir, where, in the last few months more than
130 innocent civilians have been martyred.
