On Saturday, 16th July 2016, Mr. Abbas Rana,, President Pakistan Association of Australia (PAA) hosted a Lunch at Himalaya Emporium Bankstown Sydney.The purpose of this function was Goodbye to the outgoing CG Abdul Aziz Uqaili and Welcome New Consul of Pakistan in Sydney Mr Abdul Majid Yousafani. On the behalf of the Pakistani Community, PAA presented appreciating shield to the former Consul General Abdul Aziz Uqaili who completed his tenure in Australia with success & respect.The event started with a recitation from Holy Quran by Riaz Shah

The High Commissioner of Pakistan Her Excellency Naela Chohan was Chief Guest of the Function who specially travelled from Canberra to Sydney for attending this event. Brigadier Muhammad Asghar, Defence Advisor Pakistan High Commission, Mrs. Bushra Salam, Vice Consul of Pakistan Consulate Sydney and leading members of the Australian Pakistani Community attended the Lunch.

President PAA Mr. Abbas Rana thanks the honourable guests and explains a brief history of achievements of the Pakistan Association of Australia. He highly appreciated the contribution of Consulate General Mr. Abdul Aziz Uqaili towards uniting the community and solving their outstanding issues for decades. President PAA said that Pakistani Community settled in New South Wales expecting much better positive Role and Services from the New Consul General Mr Abdul Majid Yousafani.

Mr. Abdul Aziz Uqaili thanks for honouring from PAA and said I always try to keep close contact with community members and also work hard for promoting Pak Australia trade.

In his speech, New Consul General Abdul Majid Yousafani assured that he will do all efforts for maintain public contact and hope for increase activities of Pakistan Trade Mission in Australia.

Vice Consul of the Pakistan Consulate Sydney Mrs. Bushra Salam talks about personal experience of working with CG Abdul Aziz Uqaili and appreciates his Role as Good experience Government officer.

Chief Guest High Commissioner Her Excellency Naela Chohan welcomes New Consul General Mr Abdul Majid Yousafani and appreciates services of former CG Abdul Aziz Uqaili.She expressed her Best wishes for Australian Pakistani Community and said Pakistan Consulate Sydney is a part of the High Commission for Pakistan in Australia and we all as a team always try our best to solve Community issues, provide them more Facilities, Increased Trade, Investment, Educational, Defence and two way Friendship.
