Macquarie University Students visited the High Commissioner of Pakistan's Residence in Canberra
25 students of
Macquarie University and three faculty members visited High Commissioner, HE
Abdul Malik Abdullah, at his residence as part of their Global Leadership
Program on Friday March 28, 2014. The High Commissioner H.E. Abdul Malik Abdullah
in an hour of briefing session spoke about Pakistan, its people and its
geo-strategic significance in Asia. He also dilated upon Pakistan-Australia
bilateral relations and future opportunities in further strengthening of the
relationship. Students on that occasions asked spirited and pointed questions.
The High Commissioner was eloquent and frank in his answers which were much
appreciated by the students.
Later the group was served with the dinner and the students enjoyed the
traditional Pakistani food.
Visit of Macquarie University students to the High Commission has become a
regular feature. Under the Global Leadership program Macquarie University
students visits diplomatic Missions in Canberra. The last year under a similar
program group of students also visited the High Commissioner’s residence
"Pakistan House" Canberra.
