Hon. Minister Steve Kamper and Nathan Hagarty MP Visited Al-Madinah Masjid Leppington Sydney

The Hon. Stephen Kamper MP, esteemed Member of the Legislative Assembly (Minister for Small Business, Minister for Lands and Property, Minister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Sport) and Hon. Mr Nathan Matthew Hagarty, MP, Member for Leppington Sydney, visited Al-Madinah Masjid on the rarely morning of Thursday, 30th May 2024 for a comprehensive tour and community engagement event. This visit underscores their commitment to fostering cultural understanding and strengthening relationships with the local Muslim community.

During their visit, Hon. Kamper and MP Hagarty were warmly welcomed by the Masjid's leadership and members of the congregation. The tour provided them with an in-depth look at the mosque's facilities, including the prayer hall, upcoming mosque building, and educational classrooms. Both representatives took this opportunity to learn about the various services and programs that the mosque offers to its community members, including educational initiatives, charity drives, and youth activities.

In his address, Hon. Kamper expressed his admiration for the mosque's contributions to the community. MP Hagarty echoed these sentiments, noting the significance of such visits in strengthening community ties.
The Masjid's leadership expressed their gratitude for the visits from Hon. Kamper and MP Hagarty, noting the significance of such engagements in fostering positive relationships between different cultural and religious groups. "We are honoured to have welcomed both Hon. Stephen Kamper and MP Nathan Matthew Hagarty to our mosque," said Hafiz Gulzar Mohammad of Al-Madinah Masjid. "Their visit reflects a shared commitment to dialogue and cooperation, and we look forward to continuing this important work together."

The visit concluded with an open forum where community members had the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences with Hon. Kamper and MP Hagarty. This interactive session highlighted the community's concerns, aspirations, and the positive impact of the mosque's activities.
