President PABC Iftikhar Rana and Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane raised $ 22,000 dollars during the Wheelchairs for Pakistani Kids Fundraising Dinner

On Saturday 27th Feb 2016, Opposition Whip in the Legislative Council Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane, MP NSW Parliament and President Pakistan Australia Business Council (PABC) Mr Iftikhar Rana hosted a fundraising dinner for Pakistani disable children’s wheelchairs. The dinner was held at Spice of Life Function Centre Harris Park Sydney and more than $ 22,000 was collected for this noble charity work.

More than 100 Volunteers working Wheelchairs for Kids foundation in Western Australia, until recently they provides 25,000 wheelchairs to over 62 countries as a Humanitarians/ Australian volunteerism.

Since 10 years or more, I am close to the Australian Pakistani Community through Mr Zafar Hussain who introduces me with President Iftikhar Rana, my dear friend Azam Mohammed and others. When CG Azam was in Pakistan for promotion course, I work closely with Consul Hamid Asghar Khan & Iftikhar Rana for 2009 Pakistan Flood Fundraiser. On our request Premier Kristina Keneally announced Five hundred thousand dollars for Pakistani effected people.

Later I visited Pakistan with Parliamentary delegation led by former then Hon President Amanda Fazio MLC. We meet Pakistani people in different cities and found them number one. After 2 years I visit to Pakistan was to deliver over 500 Wheelchairs for Kids – distributed to Edhi Foundation and, El Khidmat Foundation Karachi. For these Wheelchairs for Pak Kids we arranged fundraiser in Sydney with 36 Lebanese businessmen and collected $30,000.

Many Wheelchair containers have been sent through my fundraising initiatives with the cross section of communities include: - 2 to Lebanon, 2 to Pakistan, 2 to China, soon to be 3. +1 Gaza Palestine, , 2 Iraq, 2 to Syria,2 about to go to Egypt, 1 Fiji, 4 now two more to Pakistan with plans for Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries. I would like to Special thanks to Wheelchairs for Kids who always very kind. I thank you all friends who attended tonight event and donate.
