Dinner, Celebrating Seniors and Recognising

Friday, 13th Dec 2024, Muslim Care, a leading provider of Home Care
Packages (HCP), Community Home Support Packages (CHSP) for seniors in addition
to NDIS service provider and General Welfare, recently hosted a successful
dinner for its valued consumers at the Riverwood Community Hub Sydney.

Mokachar, CEO of the Muslim Care, delivered a warm
welcome speech, acknowledging the valuable contributions of all attendees. Mr.
Mokachar also took a moment to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the
land, the Aboriginal people of the Riverwood area, expressing his respect and gratitude.
Mr.
Mokachar also highlighted the importance of being informed about the latest
government reforms that may impact on the aged care sector. He emphasized the
need for flexibility and adaptability to ensure that Muslim Care continues to
provide high-quality, culturally appropriate care to its consumers, even in the
face of changing regulations.
"This
event was a resounding success, not only for our consumers but also for our
dedicated team," said Mr. Mokachar. "It was a testament to the strong
relationships we build with our seniors and the compassionate care provided by
our exceptional support workers."
The
festive event provided a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to come
together, socialize, and enjoy a delightful evening of entertainment and
camaraderie.
The
evening featured a delicious dinner, engaging presentations on topics relevant
to the My Aged Care services and captivating videos and podcasts. The
festivities concluded with a lively game of bingo, bringing smiles and laughter
to all attendees.
Beyond
the entertainment, the event also celebrated the dedication and compassion of
the Muslim Care support worker team. Zeinab, a long-time employee, shared a
moving story about her deep connection with consumers, highlighting the
emotional impact of her work. Reem, a younger member of the team, expressed her
unique perspective, emphasizing the strong bonds she has formed with consumers,
who she considers herself to be her granddaughter, and she started to call them
Grandma and grandpa.
Muslim
Care is committed to providing high-quality care and support services to
seniors in the community. This event exemplifies our dedication to enhancing
the quality of life for our consumers and fostering a vibrant and supportive
community.
Several
community members participated in the dinner, including media personalities
Samir Kassem from Iraqi National TV, Syed Zafar Hussain of online Newspaper
Sada-e-Watan Sydney and Hanif Bismi from the Australian Muslim Times. Also in
attendance were Sayed Gulbaz Karimi, founder of the Muhammad
Rasulallah Islamic Centre, and Sayed Zawar Shah.
