First of all
let me again acknowledge the dedication and professionalism you have shown in
posting the news of the demise death of Mrs. Naseem Firdos Afif, the widow of
(Late) Muhammad Afif . I believe it was the same night of Saturday, 26 January
2008 when she passed away peacefully at Royal North Shore Hospital around 7:45pm
for natural causes and this sad news was posted on Sada-e-Watan on the same
night as you mentioned yourself in that get-together. We appreciate your efforts
for keeping our close community informed.
On the same night my wife and I rushed to Afif's residence in Mosman Sydney.
Nusrat Pasha Afif (the son of late Mrs. Afif) had mentioned to me that
Namaz-e-Janaza would take place 28/1/08 in view to secure a place in Rookwood
cemetery where her late husband was buried. However, when our family members and
I went to Lakemba Mosque we learnt in Rookwood all places had already been sold
out and Mrs. Afif's body would be taken to Riverstone Cemetery for burial after
Namaz-e-Janaza. Her SOEM was announced for Monday, 28/1/08 to commence at 11am
in Faisal Mosque Surry Hill after the completion of burial.

Her Name:
Naseem Firdos Afif (who was honoured with many recognition and awarded for her
own as well as for her late husband services to community)
Her Husband: (Late) Muhammad Afif (who came as first Consular of Pakistan in
Sydney back in 1948. And later had introduced Halal meat export for Australia.
Took a principal role in developing Faisal Mosque in Surry Hill. And assisting
PIA Manager in establishing the first office in Sydney. Mr. Afif always
preferred to wear Pakistani National dress throughout his life).
