The official opening of Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW Inc was held at Granville Sydney on Wednesday, 9th April 2014. The official opening of MDAA House was held by Her Excellency Professor The Honourable Marie Bashir AC CVO Governor of New South Wales who attended the ceremony with her husband Sir Nicholas Shehadie Nancy Walker.Program of official opening was starts at 11:30am. After the Australian National Anthem.

Master of Ceremony Mrs.Samiha Makkouk,Secretary of Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association (MDAA) welcomes all dignetries.She said I welcome Her Excellency Professor The Honorable Marie Bashir and her husband sir Nicholas Shehadie , all special guests , the ladies and gentlemen.

We are all gathered here to officially open our heritage building to serve and advocate on behalf of all people with disability from culturally and linguistically diverse.

Today Granville Area is honored and proud to share this great event with the presence of Her Excellency Professor The Honorable Marie Bashir and Sir Nicholas Shehadie ,special guests and all ladies and gentlemen .

 Welcome to Country Uncle Greg

I Now call upon Uncle Greg for the Welcome to Country. Uncle Greg is from the Darug Nation. The Darug Nation has 35 tribal groups and Uncle Greg is from the Gattagal tribe. Uncle Greg is also part of the Gundungurra people of the Blue Mountains.The Gundungurra people are known as the Water Dragon People.

Smoking Ceremony Uncle Wes

I Now call upon Uncle Wes to perform the smoking ceremony. Uncle Wes is a Bigambul man from the Gumeroy Nation. The Gumeroy people are from the New England area around Inverell. Their totem is the Koala Bear and the Blue Tongue Lizard.
