give notice that on the next sitting day I will move:
1. That this House
notes:
(a)
That 14th of August 2016 is Pakistan
Independence Day, marking the country’s 70th Birthday.
(b) This is a day that celebrates the struggles and achievements of the people of Pakistan lead by Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
(c) The Current Pakistani Diplomatic Corp is represented by High Commissioner Naela Chohan, Deputy High Commissioner Dr Muhammad Khalid Ejaz, Consul General Abdul Majid Yousafani and Vice Consul General Bushra Salam.
2. That this House notes the wonderful contribution the Australian-Pakistani-community has made in enriching our culturally diverse society and wishes the Community and the Diplomatic Corp, a happy Pakistan Independence Day.
