Pakistan Association of Australia hosted a dinner for Pakistan’s Federal Secretary Mr.Ishtiak Ahmad Khan

Mr.Iftikhar Rana President Pakistan Association of Australia hosted a dinner on Monday 20th June 2011 at Bundu Khan Restaurant Crowsnest Sydney for the visiting Federal Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Mr.Ishtiak Ahmad Khan.The dinner was attended by Dean of Consular Corps NSW and Consul General of Pakistan Mr.Azam Mohammed, CEO Citilink Finance Mr.Muhammad Asif, Editor in Chief of Sada-e- Watan Sydney Mr. Zafar Hussain,Mr. Matthew Mowtell from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade & many famous dignities of Pakistan Australian community.

The Host Mr.Iftikhar Rana President Pakistan Association of Australia appreciates the Pakistanis settled in Australia and said that Australian Pakistani community sincerely working for improve the image of the country across the globe. He suggested that overseas Pakistanis should be facilitated as they were contributing huge money in terms of remittance.
Mr.Iftikhar Rana President Pakistan Association of Australia said that Pakistan Consulate Sydney is providing speedy welfare and consular services to the Pakistanis on regular basis.

The Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney, Azam Mohammed said we are working hard for increasing Pakistan trade with Australia and our Consular section is issuing Pakistani passports, Visa for Business and Visit.He welcome the official visit of the Federal Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Mr.Ishtiak Ahmad Khan.

Mr.Ishtiak Ahmad Khan urged the Australian Pakistani community to play their active and vibrant role in improving country’s soft image abroad. He said that Government and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani asked the Election Commission to make arrangements for extending right of Vote to all Overseas Pakistanis. Mr.Ishtiak Ahmad Khan said that since last 30 years issue of right of vote to Overseas Pakistanis is gaining prominence in print and electronic media of Pakistan and we are examination of the issue and explore some viable solutions soon. Federal Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Mr.Ishtiak Ahmad Khan assured Pakistanis living overseas that they will be provided facility to vote in next General Election.

Mr.Ishtiak Ahmad Khan said that NADRA worked hard for removed the bogus names from the voters list we will hold free and fair elections in Pakistan. He said holding of transparent elections would prove Pakistan’s credibility before the world.
