Flag Hoisting Ceremony on Pakistan Day at Pakistan High
Commission Canberra
On Sunday, 23rd March 2025, A flag hoisting
ceremony was held at the High Commission for Pakistan, Canberra to celebrate
Pakistan National Day today. High Commissioner H.E. Mr. Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri
raised the flag along with the rendition of national anthem of Pakistan. The messages
of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were also read out.

Speaking on the occasion, the High
Commissioner Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri highlighted the significance of 23rd
March. He paid rich tribute to the founding fathers of Pakistan and their
vision for
an independent, democratic, modern Muslim state. Terming
the Pakistani Diaspora the greatest national asset, the High Commissioner Zahid
Hafeez Chaudhri appreciated their achievements and the goodwill they have
generated for Pakistan in
Australia. He also acknowledged the contributions made by
overseas Pakistanis in the socio-economic progress of Pakistan.
The High Commissioner Mr. Chaudhri also highlighted various
initiatives taken by the High Commission in line with the Government’s policy
to facilitate the Pakistani community in Australia.
A large number of Pakistani community members in Australia
attended the Flag hoisting ceremony. Pakistani community members residing in
other major cities across Australia also organised similar events to celebrate
the National Day of Pakistan.
