Prof Dr Rahat Munir of Macquarie University Completed overseas trip and arrived back to Sydney
Professor Dr Rahat Munir, Head of Accounting
and Corporate Governance at Macquarie Business School Sydney Australia,
recently concluded a two-week visit to Pakistan. During his trip, he signed
MoUs with Air University, Lahore School of Economics and Collage of Business
Management (IoBM) for their capacity building, students/staff exchange,
research collaboration. He engaged with partner universities, schools, and
agent networks, delivering insightful talks on enhancing research output,
improving learning environments, and the importance of personal branding for
students. This visit strengthens Macquarie University's commitment to fostering
deeper academic and professional connections in Pakistan.
Professor Dr Rahat Munir is
globally renowned in accounting, finance and corporate governance and currently
heading the world largest Department of Accounting and Corporate Governance at
Macquarie University Sydney. He is also the Chairperson of Chair of Accounting
and Finance Forum (CAFF) of all universities in Australia and New Zealand. He
is also forensic accounting specialist with financial crime investigative and
financial statement integrity skills. He is among a few Australians fellow of
the Chartered Accountants Australian & New Zealand and CPA Australia.
Prof Dr Rahat Munir is internationally known for his expertise in curriculum
development, innovative learning and teaching practices and accreditation,
including AACSB and AMBA. Professor Munir has been instrumental in maintaining
strong ongoing relationships with external stakeholders, including professional
associations, universities and communities - Universities in China, Southeast
Asia, South Asia and Europe. He has served on the panel for Faculty/Course
Reviews of various Universities in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA.
With his strong engagement with industry, he leads Australia-wide most
prestigious CFO Forum, Women Thought Leadership, Business Leaders Roundtables
and Modern Slavery Thinktank.
Prof Dr Rahat Munir has written over 100 peer
reviewed articles in top journals globally, books, book chapters, monographs,
conference papers and commissioned reports, and over 50 publications for
professional and lay audiences.
