The wedding of Rizwan Haque and Nida Afzal was held on 24th October 2010 at Islamabad, Pakistan. Rizwan is the son of Mr & Mrs Sh. Ikramul Haque and Nida daughter of Dr & Mrs Mohammad Afzal. Nida comes from a very well educated family. She herself holds a Master's degree in Anthropology. Her father is a phD Scientist currently working as a Biologist at renowned National Agricultural Research Centre, Islamabad.

Many friends from Australia also attended the exclusive function of Mehndi, Barat & Valima held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Rawalpindi. More than 250 people graced this occasion with their presence.

On 5 April 2010 a Welcome Reception was also held for the married couple at Miramar Reception Centre, Fairfield. It was one of the best organised function held in recent years. The spirit and purpose of the function provided a common platform for old friends to come together to revive old memories and share mutual views of interest.

Some of the prominent dignitaries present included Nida's Uncle Mr Sarfraz Ahmed, Trade Commissioner, Jedda, Saudi Arabia, Counsellor at the office of Consulate General, Sydney as well as Mr Haroon Ex Manager of Habib Bank Ltd.
