More than 900 Dignitaries attended Warringah Federal Electorate Conference Dinner with Hon Nick Greiner, Hon Tony Abbott and Hon Peter Dutton

The Warringah Federal Electorate Conference hosted the largest fundraising event of the Liberal Party in Sydney in many years in honour of the Member for Warringah Tony Abbott MP, with special guests Federal Immigration Minister Peter Dutton and Federal Liberal Party President Nick Greiner AC.

More than 900 supporters came together from across Sydney and around the country to support the Coalition's re-election.

In his speech, Mr Abbott told the enthusiastic audience: "The theme for this evening is unity and resolution," Mr Abbott said.

"Unity of the great Liberal family. Yes there are different sides to this family, as to most families, and occasionally we squabble but we unite to meet a common challenge and when outsiders take us on, it's one-in, all-in to win.

"That's the unity.

"But the resolution is that we can and must win the next election."

"I am very conscious of the debt that I owe - I owe a debt to our country, I owe to a debt to my family but tonight I particularly want to acknowledge the debt that I owe, to you my fellow Liberals. But for your support, I would never have had the privilege of representing the people of Warringah. But for your support, I would never have had the privilege of leading our country."

Mr Abbott said that there could be nothing worse for Australia than a Bill Shorten-led Labor government.
