SUBJECT: NOMINATION OF RENOWNED WOMEN FOR THE “WEXNET WOMEN OF SUBSTANCE” CONFERENCE - 20.03.2014 (LAHORE)

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan, is organizing a mega event titled 8TH WEXNET 2014 (a national exhibition for Women Entrepreneurs producing export quality products), at EXPO Centre, Lahore, from 21 to 23 March 2014.

WEXNET is a formalized structure, which provides women with the opportunities to exhibit their products, network with each other, learn from others’ experiences and form collaborations and partnerships for mutual benefits.
The Objectives of the exhibition are to identify women entrepreneurs with adequate production and export capacity, bring them into the network, provide exposure, link them up with markets, with other women entrepreneurs, retailers, trading houses, wholesale buyers, bring them into the main stream of business and train them for exports. This year, an effort will be made for participation of foreign exhibitors, as well as representation from all regions of the country.

Event Plan:

1. WEXNET“Woman of Substance” Business Forum, 20 March 2014,in collaboration with Dawn Group.
2. Fashion Show on 20 March 2014
3. Inauguration Ceremony of WEXNET Exhibition on 21 March 2014
4. Closing Ceremony and Certificate Distribution on 23 March at 5pm

WEXNET Woman of Substance Conference / Business Forum

TDAP intends to hold a Business Forum/ Conference by the title of “WEXNET Women of Substance”, in collaboration with Dawn Group, bringing aboard seasoned female panelists and speakers, who will discuss women in the workplace, work / life balance, and success stories.
This Mission will be recommending 2 to 3 prominent women from Australia to participate in the said conference. The women entrepreneurs nominated by this Mission will be officially invited as delegate in the FORUM and, depending upon their credentials, TDAP may extend hospitality package to one or all of them.

All interested leading women entrepreneurs (both Pakistani origin or otherwise) in Australia may send their DETAILED RESUME, containing details of the business and success stories, to the Consulate General Of Pakistan Sydney, preferably on the following email addresses latest by THURSDAY, 23 JANUARY 2014:
